.50 cal markers (excluding the Splatmaster range) operate just like a regular .68 cal paintball marker, the barrel, loader and paintball itself are only smaller in size. .50 cal markers require CO2 or compressed air to propel the paintball with the exception of Splatmaster markers that operate on spring loaded action. Impact of the ball is less powerful making these markers ideal for younger players.
